On the occasion of a partnership with Whistle for Caribbean Design Days, Caribeart would like to introduce Jamil Frank, a Grenadian visual artist, who won the Grenada Arts Council Emerging Artist Award in 2018. The artist situates his work between realism and surrealism and works primarily with oil paint, acrylic and watercolor.
His paintings bear witness to the lush vegetation of Grenada, which he does not fail to honor in each of his paintings. Sensitive to the beauties of the Grenadian women, Jamil Frank takes pleasure in integrating them into his landscapes and granting them their significant beauties. The work of the Grenadian artist also depicts a certain realism through less noisy works, with a more calm atmosphere, where he also represents routine and folk scenes.
“Colors of the feathers.” “Harmony” “Mother nature.”
“A touch of spice” “Vibrant embrace” “The real mccoy”
